The Savage® Mark II FV-SR Bolt-Action Rimfire Rifle is ideal for target shooting, as well as small game hunting, or tactical environments where loud muzzle blast is a consideration. The Mark II FV-SR comes with a heavy-contour, fluted, and threaded barrel. The threading utilizes 1/2″–28 TPI for compatibility with common AR-platform muzzle devices, and comes with a knurled thread protector. A durable, synthetic stock free-floats the barrel for optimum accuracy potential. The receiver comes drilled and tapped with a factory-installed Picatinny rail to attach aftermarket optic or reflex sights; and an oversized bolt knob facilitates smooth operation. Savage’s AccuTrigger® enables shooters to obtain exceptional accuracy with the Mark II FV-SR, by allowing you to adjust it to your desired weight of pull for a light, crisp release with no creep. A lever mounted within the trigger body blocks the sear unless the trigger is intentionally pressed in the center, virtually minimizing the risk of accidental discharge. Sling swivel studs allow you to carry the rifle with a sling, or attach a bi-pod to the fore-end. The bolt features dual extractors for positive extraction of spent cases. A detachable 5-round magazine allows for quick and easy loading and unloading of the firearm; a 2-stage safety allows the action to be cycled with it in the safe position.
